How often should a vehicle to be detailed?
At least once in every 6 months. Detailing has proven to be effective in getting you a better resale/trade-in price. We recommend at least 2 times a year depending on your driving, car washing habits and how you store your vehicle. So, if you are planning on selling your car, make sure to have it detailed within a week of selling it. It is usually when selling a vehicle that most people consider detailing. But, by that time (an average of 5 years) the vehicle has too much wear and tear to restore it to a like new condition. **The over spray is recent, we can safely remove the contaminants and restore the structural integrity of the finish. In some cases, the over spray may have already penetrated into the clear coat. At which point, repainting may be necessary.
What is wax, sealant/Coating? Which is for me?
Both waxes and sealants share the same goal, protecting your paint and enhancing the look of your vehicle. That is where the similarities end. Waxes are composed of natural ingredients whereas sealants are entirely composed of man-made polymers. Waxes only last a month or two and sealants can last up to 6 months. We believe sealants are the right choice for the majority of our customers because to Detailing, we also offer paint coatings. This is the newest technology in paint protection and provides the most protection possible.
Paint sealant forms a clear chemical bond that protects the finish of the vehicle and maintains that new car appearance. It is guaranteed to keep its shine for at least one whole year with proper maintenance.
Waxes leave microscopic layers of fine wax particles providing deep shine and protection. With regular maintenance and care, the deep shine can last between 3 to 12 months depending upon the quality of the wax and car storage. We use only the highest quality wax in the industry today.

Why should I go for your service when my local car wash offers detailing at half the price?

Do new cars need to be detailed?
YES, just because your vehicle is new, doesn’t mean that it is perfect. All vehicles come from the factory with imperfections that dealers do not remove prior to selling. Also, as discussed above, dealers do not use proper wash techniques, resulting in swirl marks on a brand new vehicle. New vehicles do not come with any protection for the paint, wheels, glass or interior. Do not be fooled into buying an over-priced “paint protection” plan from you dealer. They are selling you an extremely sub-bar detail (using improper technique as mentioned above) with products that are no better than what you could buy from an auto parts store. Dealership “paint-protection” packages are never a good investment! When you bring your new car to us, we will remove all of the imperfections and get your car protected so it looks its best for a long time!
Why would I want to have a fabric guard applied to the interior of my vehicle?
A fabric guard is a layer of protection on your cloth and carpeted interior fabrics. When something is spilled it will sit on top of the fabric guard for a short time. Allowing you to simply wipe up the spill and leave your interior clean and unstained. If a spill is left sitting then it WILL eventually soak through the fabric guard and into the fabric.
Why should use Microfiber Towels instead of Terry Towels?
Terry towels will create very visible scratch/swirl marks on the clearcoat finishes as shown in the following photographs. This is why most car manufacturers as well as professional car details will use Microfiber Towels for this reason. Carglow Detailers supply highest quality microfiber towels available in the marketplace and will help customers in protecting the paint from getting damaged.
Can I wash Microfiber Towel and reuse it?
Remember to wash them before first use. They can be machine-washed or hand-washed. Do not wash Microfiber products with fabric softener, fabric Softener will clog the micro-pours in the microfiber fabric that suck up water and dust.
What is Detailing Clay and how do I know when it’s time to clay bar my car?
After first washing and drying your car, feel the surface of your car’s paint and glass with your fingertips. Does your paint feel rough and bumpy? If so, it’s time for a thorough cleaning with an Detailing Clay Bar to remove the bonded contamination.
The bumps and roughness you feel on your paint are contaminants such as factory fallout, brake dust, tree sap mist, road grime, paint over-spray and other junk that have bonded to your car’s paint finish. Most forms of dirt will wash off when you wash your car.
Using a clay bar will remove embedded surface contamination that still remains after a maintenance wash. Sometimes the contamination removed is not always visible on the paint to the naked eye. After using a clay bar on your paint your vehicle will be left with a surface that is as smooth as glass for the polish to be applied. Here’s how detailing clay works:
Detailing clay works by hydroplaning (floating) over the surface you’re cleaning. The lubricant creates the barrier between the claybar and your car’s paint.
When the clay encounters surface contamination, it abrasively removes it by grinding it away.
Detailing clay shears off any foreign material above the level surface of the paint.
You can see dirt, oxidation and other contamination removed from your paint by inspecting the clay (which you should do frequently).
